SAG team members prepared a market and financial feasibility expansion study for the Cobb Galleria Centre located in Marietta, GA. The study analyzed the center’s existing marketing plan and booking policy, historical utilization patterns, the universe of groups that could meet at the center, local and regional competitors, lost business reports, and interviewed and conducted focus groups with potential users. This study also analyzed the centers’ revenues and expenses, potential funding sources, and analyzed the benefits of expansion. Based on the research, the Authority expanded the exhibit hall from 100,000 to 140,000 square feet and made other enhancements to the facility, including a new parking deck and pedestrian bridge crossing to the adjacent shopping mall.
