The TD Convention Center (formerly the Palmetto Expo Center) was privately owned and operated for decades, built with the purpose of housing the handful of textile-related events produced by its owner. However, due to the vast economic changes in the US textile industry, the facility was no longer in use and the property was delivered to the City of Greenville. The City engaged SAG to help understand the options that were available with respect to its new asset. SAG coordinated a private management selection process, and ultimately negotiated one of the most publicly-beneficial agreements in the convention industry.
